It’s Officially Summer
Can you think of a better way to say hello to summer? These kids from the DLSU-STC beat the heat with a Summer Chill at the One Mission Park. No one could ever stop them after the success of their previous event, Archela. What made it so cool is that they continued to rock their campus with several awesome independent bands. Being in a cozy and breezy park, a sweet flick caps the night which was 12 years in the making.
The dynamic duo, Leanne and Naara and the brilliant individuals who call themselves Jensen and the Flips exemplify outstanding performance when they showcased their talent last Friday. Still not being able to recover from hangover, these bands have undoubtedly satisfied their music cravings. The Filipino indie, Jensen and the Flips, brought their cheery, ground-pounding, and summer-feel music to the crowd. Nonetheless, everybody loved it. Having the heat in the wind, their music made it a perfect welcome party for the summer. While the guys rock the park, the girls showcase the rosy music that makes you lie down on the grass and cuddle all summer long. Their music is a must-have in your “Summer Love” playlist.
Last but definitely not the least is the Saving Sally Film. Yes, this may be a typical love story but who can not relate to it? Don’t want to sound like a spoiler here, but the movie is an amazing teeny-bopper love story that was shown in a visually entertaining way which made me interested to watch it, too. The animation showed the Filipino’s craftsmanship in how they made such a good film. Aside from this, real-life experiences like never giving up on love was also shown which is one of many reasons why one should not fail to watch this movie.
One-of-a-kind experience like this made us want to go back again and again to DLSU-STC campus. Once again, thank you for allowing Everyday Frydate to chill with you and making us part of your summer lovin’.
